Well, after a long night babysitting a drunk and hanging out with a few friends while they played the guitar and a trip to the clock I finally found my way to the river around 6:00 AM in the mournin. My first weapon of choice was a 8 lb leader attached to my pattern of a egg sucking leach with a glow in the dark egg pattern. I fished that for a good hour, had a few bumps, but nothin was there. I then switched sides and tried a different colored egg pattern with no luck. I then switched down to 6 lb line  and had my first head shaker on that was uncontrolable and was off in seconds. Oh well...
Good news is I seen another steelhead caught today by a little lady that had never landed a fish. She was geeked! Not a legal one but it's good to know there out there. I did see one caught last week that was a legal keeper. We did see several at a look over.
I just hope we don't get such a big run that the snaggers will be hooking them this fall because you know where they will go even if there hooked in the arse.
