Wow have I totally neglected to keep post updated on my trips. I have forgot how many days I was in the outdoors last week. However, the high light of last week was taking caitlinn out fishing and her getting her first salmon, a nice 16-18 lb hen. It took awhile to get her one but it finally happened.
I also had my dad up here for the weekend and we fished saturday mournin. Surprizenly, the only people out there fishing were guys I knew who all fish legal. We took several jacks home all on skein. I also handed off a fish to my dad which he fought and landed. I went 1-2 all on skein under bobber. Man, I love bobber fishing.
My fishing has been far a few between because I am trying to concentrate more on school. However, when I am getting out I am hooking about 5 a trip and landing about 3 of them. Fishing is slowing down though and who knows how long the salmon will be in. I have two more trips planned and then I think I am going to concentrate more on hunting. Want to get just one deer this season so I can get back to fishing. While fishing with caitlinn I did have my steelhead rod out but never hooked anything, not even a salmon...oh well

About 2 weeks ago isaac and I went scouting. We found a swamp but didn't see any sign off deer. A week after that I took jake out there to check it out. There were deer sign all over the place. He told me I better put a stand up so I did saturday. After we were done with that my dad and I got lost inthe woods during dark...again. We tromped around the woods for several hours. First part we had a flash light and then it ran out of batteries so all I had was my GPS. If it wasn't for my GPS my dad and I would have been spending the night in the woods but thankfully we came across a house who helped us out.
I gave jake permission to hunt that stand today. He called me around 7:30 asking if I could pick him p because he locked himself out of his car. He had some good news for me though. He had 2 does walk within shooting range and heard 2 small bucks going at it. He also heard another deer butnever saw it. Looks like I picked out a pretty good spot this year. Jake will be putting up a stand and so is my friend Jeff. One of us should get a deer out of there this year if not all of us. I am really excited.
Jake also got permission for him and I to hunt a apple orchard that were checking out tomarrow.. Another thing I am soooo geeked about.
That's about all...I have a few pics of fishing but that will be it for pics. My camera got ruined while lost
