Here is my situation; I was hoping I could get a little wise counsel. I live in a town of 500,000 people right on the Amazon River. My Job requires me to take volunteers out on the river to help the people. Here are my normal numbers.

Number of People: Under 12

Distance: 200 miles plus (COULD BE AS HIGH AS 400 MILES)

Speed of rivers: 5mph

Minimum speed needed: 20mph

Here is my question: WHAT SETUP WOULD GIVE ME THE MOST COST...

i purchased a blaster washdown pump last spring. i rigged it to my water holding tank.(didn't want to cut a hole in my boat) It worked fine for a couple of weeks then it quit pumping water. i tinkered with it a bit and it started working again.lasted about a week and quit working again. the pump runs just wont pick up any water. i think the impeller is bad. any body ever had this trouble with a similar pump?

snubber or no snubber?

I hope someone can end a heated debate that is going on here in our office. Two long time fisherman are debating whether or not to use a rubber snubber when running dipsey divers. One contends that the snubber absorbs the shock thus reducing the chance of breaking the line. The other contends that the snubber allows the fish the opportunity to "jerk the line" thus making it easier to break. Does anyone have any comment?

Wow this forum has not been used in a little while!! LOL! Has anyone been to the outer banks in North Carolina? I am going there tonight and was just wondering if anyone has been there. Fishing can get a little crazy down there when the water gets warm. But as of today, the water is a chilly 60 deg.!!!! yikes that is some cold water. Ill see ya later, catch fish, your stomach will like it!

How far back behind a flasher do you run a spoon? I would also like to know how far back do you run a spoon off a dipsey? If you were running 9 lines, how many 1. would be spoons? 2. how many flies? 3. how many with flashers?

I want to put the numbers in my cell phone phonebook . Think this would be a good idea in case of a radio problem .

I'd like to make a CRICKET TRAP. Does anyone out there know where I can get the plans or buy one already made?

I'm looking for a trap that traps live so I can use them for bait. Years ago, these traps were common. Now they're very difficult to find.

Trailer Light Question

I'm having a problem with the turn signal lights on my boat trailer. They work, but are barely visible. All of the other lights on the trailer work fine.

Has anyone ever heard of this brand of leadcore ?
What brand do you guys prefer ? I would think that brands would not make a difference . 27 LB line is all the same as far as what it is going to do in the water .

Any thoughts ?

Well we are getting close to the Salmon season, Well kinda close, Ok it's a coupla months away up here, But anyway, If a guy was going to buy a few trolling flies what, colors should he get, and what color Fishcatcher, Dodger, should he be pulling them behind ?. Picked up 2 "Horse Flies" in the "Green Crinkle" color at Walmart the other day $1.00 a piece so I figured I couldn't go wrong, What other colors should I be looking for, and what kind of set ups should I be useing...

Ignition Timing

hello,
I just switched my pcm 454 engine with a yl670av Mallory distributor to a ylu624av unilite distibutor. I was wondering what the correct ignition timing should be.
It was set at 12 degrees BTDC & ran great but the manual says it should have been 5 degrees AV(I assume AV relates to thesuffix on the distibutor?) 9degrees [MV]. What should I set it at?
