What brand bow does everyone shoot?

And what kind of arrows, broadheads, sight, rest, ect......I shoot an older Mathew's FeatherLight with a Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter, Toxonics Infinity sight, Gold Tip 55-75's and G5 Montec 100's.

What has everyone been seeing, and where.....

I have been hunting Montcalm county, both private and state land. Been seeing the most deer ever! Alot of yearlings and fawns, and tons of small bucks. I have harvested two does for the freezer, and am now waiting for a buck "with some character". By that, I mean that I have been seeing a REALLY big spike, I am betting around 12" per spike, and pretty wide. A really big bodied deer, too. Also, I have been seeing a smallish 8, but it has double brow tines...very interesting...

I went out hunting on Wednesday and their was snow on the ground that just came down that day. I had my bow, tree stand, and a bag of corn in my hands, I made it about 200 yards from my stand when I set the corn down because it was to much to handle all that at one time. I walked to my stand with bow, and tree stand and will come back for the corn. as I walked I looked for fresh deer tracks and seen none, so I put my stand up and went back for the corn, this time as I walked their was one set...

Well, it finally happened. I was able to get my first deer using the trusty Chekmate Crusader. Here's the story, and a pic for you.

My days off are today and tomorrow. I didnt get to hunt this morning, I had to go to my buddy's dads funneral. The weather was cold, and spitting snow all day. Hello. I recently inherited a Ben Pearson recurve bow and as I'm not a bowhunter, I'd like to sell it. I can't find info on this particular bow. Can anyone out there help me out? Here is the first dozen arrows that I have made up, that actually resemble one another. I still got a long ways to go, but Im getting the hang of it now. I need to break more arrows so I can make more for practice.

Custom Arrows

Anyone do any work on their arrows? I was thinking of buying some arrows and then dipping them and fletch them myself. And maybe adding some florescent nocks. Sounds like fun to me.

I was going to use white paint and then maybe 2 white vanes and 1 orange. What do you think?

When I used to hunt with my bow all the time I hunted in December some but never did much good. I get cold to easy I guess and figgit way to much. I honestly only would go out 4 or 5 times too so that in itself might make it tough to take an animal especially after they have been hunted all year already.

Went out this morning and kicked up 2 deer on the way in. I , for some reason, thought my stand was a little far up the ravine that I was sure they were using as a travel route(low lying dry creek bottom).

I set up 40 yards off with my back to my stand and not 1/2 hr after sitting see a doe behind me in the very thick brush 3/4 way up the ravine. Than another right behind...and another. Than the hulking 8 point I've been chasing all year 5 yards behind all within 25 yards of my...

Long bow or Recurve?

I want to get into bowhunting,, but i want to use a more traditional bow. I want some input on what you guys think. Should i get a long bow or recurve, and if possible, could someone give me some names of these bows and where i can get them. I'm new to the bow scene. I am planning on getting a bow this winter. I want to practice all year to get ready for deer season in 2003. Please let me know what you think.
